I’ll never forget that moment.
It was already a dream to be oceanside in Carlsbad, California, spending a week immersed in the ancient art of Chinese Face Reading. But then I was called to the front of the room—the Hot Seat.
My teacher looked closely at me, then paused and said:
“You have two purpose lines on the public side of your face. You’re here to fully live out two distinct paths—and not keep either one hidden.”
Time stopped.
I felt a rush of emotion surge up. I had to swallow my tears to keep from bursting. Something inside me cracked open. Or maybe it clicked into place.
Because the truth is, for most of my life, I had been holding one of those paths in secret:
My spiritual side.
Wearing the Mask
At the time, I was at the peak of my corporate-facing career—high-level, public, polished. My world was full of business meetings, performance metrics, strategic plans, and powerful relationships. I had a seat at the table. But what I didn’t have was the freedom to bring all of me to that table.
I carried a deep belief that if I let my spiritual side show—my curiosity for the unseen, my gifts of intuition, my passion for the mystical and transformational—I would lose it all. The trust. The clients. The influence. The credibility.
So I masked it.
I excelled, of course. But the mask was heavy.
And the division was painful.
Permission to Be Whole
That moment in the Hot Seat changed everything.
I had two purpose lines—and they were both on my public-facing side. Not hidden. Not tucked away in the realm of the private or personal. But boldly visible.
It was the cosmic permission slip I didn’t know I was waiting for.
It gave me the first, fierce breath of freedom:
You don’t have to choose. You were never meant to.
That week I walked away with an arsenal of wisdom that today is a part of my unique toolbox. But even more powerfully, I began the long, layered process of becoming whole.
The Wisdom Written on Your Face
Chinese Face Reading is one of the oldest diagnostic tools in Chinese Medicine. Over centuries, physicians noticed patterns—emotional, physical, and energetic—that corresponded with the shape and features of the face.
Each part of the face connects to one of the Five Elements: Water, Wood, Fire, Earth, and Metal. These elements reveal how we think, feel, relate, lead, and even how we flow through the decades of our lives.
My two purpose lines—etched clearly on the public side—validated the duality I always felt. They explained the tension. And they offered a path forward.
From Split to Aligned
Of course, change didn’t happen overnight. I didn’t announce my spiritual business on LinkedIn the next day. But I began to show up with more honesty. I began to integrate. I started to merge the sacred with the strategic.
This was the seed of what would become my body of work—helping leaders and entrepreneurs align with their elemental gifts, honor the seasons of their lives, and lead in flow.
Today, I guide others through the very process I lived. I live and work in that sacred alignment.
Wisdom in the Elements: A Client Story
Just last week, I had a session with a new client who felt stuck. Her results weren’t landing the way they used to. People at work even nick-named her for her ability to bulldoze through challenges, never giving up until the deal was done!
But something wasn’t working.
Her 9 Star Ki chart revealed that she was all Fire—a heart-centered soul who thrives in connection and warmth. But her Face Reading revealed dominant Wood energy—the archetype of the warrior, the achiever, the athlete.
She had been leading with that Wood—pushing, charging, competing—and it was overwhelming her natural Fire. She wasn’t embodying her true essence. Her heart had taken the backseat.
Her homework? Simple shifts to lead more with her warmth. To soften. To let the Fire in her be felt.
The Flow Roadmap™
This is the work I now guide others through:
Not to pick a path. But to walk both with grace.
At the core of my Flow Roadmap™ is the wisdom of the Five Elements. Half of our energetic blueprint is written on our faces. The other half is revealed in the stars—through elemental astrology like 9 Star Ki.
Together, they create a map toward deeper purpose, truer leadership, and a life in sacred rhythm.
Final Thought
I still don’t have the perfect balance. And maybe I never will.
But I no longer feel like I have to hide.
Those two lines on my face gave me permission to stop splitting myself. To stop compartmentalizing my brilliance.
I am both.
I always have been.
And now, I help others remember the same.
LOVE THIS!!!
Pretty awesome!
