Tending the Flame of Virgo
Releasing, purifying, and planting new intentions in rhythm with the eclipse and equinox.
Prelude to Ceremony
Eclipse season always arrives as a threshold — a sacred portal that asks us to pause, release, and realign. Today’s Solar Eclipse and New Moon in Virgo has been just that for me: a container of both fire and cocooning, vision and surrender.
The Pisces Lunar Eclipse earlier this month (which sat right on top of my Sun) called me into the paradox of purpose and surrender. And now, this Virgo Solar Eclipse — shining in my 4th house of Home — feels like a deep portal of release and healing, words not yet fully formed but felt in every bone.
The messages landing are clear: Stop. Rest. Contract in gratitude.
This season reminds me that it’s not only safe but sacred to honor the simple life reclaimed from hustle and fear.
Home as the Sacred Teacher
Eclipse cycles stretch across 18 months, moving through two signs (now Pisces and Virgo), and their lessons often take months to fully reveal. For me, one message has been unmistakable: Home.
Since last winter, my life has revolved around this theme — preparing for a move, clearing and blessing a new space, navigating the challenges of transition, sharing space with a partner, and pouring love into our home and garden.
This devotion has deepened my practice of Feng Shui and reminded me that our homes are not just shelters — they are mirrors, teachers, and partners in our alignment.
It has also birthed my new signature program, Sacred Home. Aligned Life™ — guiding women leaders to create homes that are sanctuaries and partners to their highest purpose.
My Virgo Release
With the Virgo South Node, release has been calling me into:
Settling into what home, safety, and vocation mean to me now, and allowing new definitions to be born.
Releasing the attachments of the past with deep gratitude — honoring the memories while letting them go with smiles, laughter, and tears.
Dancing with my new home and partnership as we hold space for our next evolution together.
And so I ask you:
What are you being invited to release under this Virgo South Node?
Where are you being purified, refined, or emptied so that something brighter may take root?
Virgo’s Invitation
Virgo is the Vestal Flame, burning brightly at the heart of our purpose. It desires purification — of body, mind, space, and ritual — so that what remains is clear, intentional, and sacred.
Where does Virgo at 29° fall in your chart? That house will hold the deeper clues to your eclipse initiation. But even if you don’t know, you can feel Virgo’s presence: the urge to declutter, to nourish your body, to create rituals that keep your flame steady and strong.
A potent memory: The last time the Pisces and Virgo eclipses took place, it was between the years of 2015 and 2017. I had just exited a 15-year career and walked into another one that not only was in perfect alignment with my soul’s purpose, but would also be the perfect play ground for my eventual transition into entrepreneurship, which also happened during this time. My career’s “home” shifted twice during this period, and the big lessons dealt with feeling at home in a new way in my career (took a bit!), releasing my identity with my past career, and changing the structures, routines and modis operandi that would allow me to succeed in a new way. My firstborn also left for college—a huge transition for this mama! With this memory in mind, I now look for similar patterns that may arrive that will allow me to close a cycle or transform it in a new way, taking all of my growth and learnings into consideration.
Ultimately, eclipses help us both release what no longer belongs so we can walk purposefully toward where we must go and who we must be.
Eclipse Release Ritual
To honor this moment, I’m refreshing my altar — a living reflection of release and renewal. You might wish to do the same.
Here’s a simple way to begin:
Clear your altar. Wipe away dust, remove old items, cleanse with smoke, sound, or intention.
Choose symbols of release. A crystal, a written note, a candle — something that carries what you’re letting go.
Add symbols of the harvest. Autumn leaves, seeds, or anything that reminds you of abundance and fruition.
Set your new intention. Place one object (a candle, a card, a stone) to anchor the season ahead.
Speak your release aloud. “I release what no longer serves. I welcome this new season with gratitude and trust.”
Allow your altar to become a map of both endings and beginnings — a place where gratitude and manifestation meet.
Closing Invocation
This Eclipse and Equinox remind us: to harvest is to honor the cycle — to gather what has grown, and to plant what is still becoming.
May your home hold this rhythm as a sanctuary,
may your heart remember the abundance already here,
and may your steps carry you into the season ahead
with trust, grace, and sacred flow.
The cycle continues — what you honor will grow.
