Spring Cleaning Ritual to Ignite Change
The most powerful New Beginning of the Year is HERE!
I’m sitting here with my coffee, grateful for our quick Spring Break escape, and returning to the reminder of Saturday’s New Moon Partial Eclipse, which was exact at 6:58 am EST.
As a practitioner of both Feng Shui and Astrology, I am ever present to the energetic opportunity of this particular event, and its invitation for us all to clear out the cobwebs (hypothetically and literally) in order to open the doors to this powerful karmic cycle of change and a true new beginning.
🔥 Dare I say it’s a FIERY LEAP ahead? 🔥
Let’s get the basics out of the way first, before I give you a simple Spring Cleaning Ritual for this weekend.
A New Moon is when the Sun and Moon join at the exact degree, signifying the mind and the heart in alignment, giving us momentum for a fresh start. In Aries, it’s a fiery ignition!
It is a Partial Eclipse because this New Moon is just a few degrees away from the North Node of the Moon, which guides us toward our karmic destiny (or how we are meant to evolve). These eclipses become more and more important as we age, and we ask ourselves those important questions, like— “Am I being who I’m supposed to be? Am I pushing myself outside of my comfort zone? Am I holding onto patterns that don’t serve me?”
The eclipses also can become more painful as we age, because truly leaning into our karmic destiny is not easy! We all come into our human bodies with remembrances of past lives and default ways of thinking and behaving that are hard to break, and disguise themselves as easy and safe, even though they may be keeping us from the growth we are here to truly experience.
True growth is never comfortable.
Why this eclipse in particular is so powerful.
First, this is the last eclipse in the sign of Aries for the next 18 years, giving us an another opportunity to look at how we are creating healthy assertion and interdependence. With both Venus and Mercury in retrograde and very close by, they are giving us a final reflection to clear those relationship and independence issues that were at the forefront since 2023. What can we release and reclaim to RISE anew?
Second, these 2025 eclipses are happening in a year when all of the outer planets are changing signs—from earth and water signs, to fire and air signs. This is kind of a big deal, energetically. Life within us and around us will feel different.
The beginning of this major shift also happens on Saturday (March 29th), with Neptune moving into the first degree (0°) of Aries after 14 years in Pisces! This dreamy, spiritual and artistic planet has been comfy and cozy (perhaps too much!) in the sign that it rules (Pisces), but in Aries, it can feel like boiling water.
Initially, we may feel as though our greater spiritual purpose, dreams and ideals are being ignited—not a bad initiation for a New Moon! Purposeful creation is at play, and it’s time to take action on our dreams if we’ve been holding back with the flowy-ness of Neptune in Pisces for too long. What has been boiling up within you?
Personally, I feel that Neptune’s shift into Aries is the precursor for the future Pisces eclipses (coming soon!), where the North Node becomes the torch bearer of the continual blaze that helps us to sustain this new fire. What is this flame for you today?
Other important energies at play to consider before commencing your Spring Cleaning
Both Chiron and Mercury in Aries give us a push to speak our minds and amplify our voices.
Neptune, Venus (Rx) and Saturn in alignment with the North Node in Pisces are asking us to listen to the callings of our soul, but responsibly. How can we prioritize and responsibly nurture ourselves, our dreams, our relationships, and create stability through our finances?
These energies are also positively aligned with Uranus, who is eager to bring us change and greater freedom.
They also are tossing the baton to Mars to take measured and feel-good actions to move us forward.
A New Moon Eclipse Spring Cleaning 🌸
I love ritual.
This Spring Cleanse IS ritual, and it begins with you taking pen to notepad and free writing what the above means to you.
Make it special—light a candle, play inspiring music, dance, use a beautiful pen and journal that light you up, dress in a manner that makes you feel beautiful and abundant! Light that inner and outer fire!!!
Ponder what I’ve shared above, ask yourself the big questions, namely focusing on:
The relationship with yourself and your power.
Relationship boundaries, balance, beginnings and endings.
Being responsible to your purpose and your stability (it’s a BOTH, AND!)
Where have you been too quiet, sheltered or comfortable?
Where must you now be more bold?
How do you desire to be in service to yourself and the world?
Once you have pondered and asked yourself these and other powerful questions, create a power statement and/or prayer to begin your cleanse, like this one:
Thank you Spirit of Fire for lighting a flame within me. I will be a responsible steward of my dreams. I will believe in myself. I will take responsible action. I will take a new action today. With this New Moon cleanse I will clean the slate, and trust that I am watched over as I rise with each bold word and inspired step toward my next destined location.
The areas I want you to focus on for this Spring Cleaning are:
Doors: Bring me/us new, beautiful and abundant opportunities.
Windows and Mirrors: I see clearly. I love myself. I know where I’m going.
Front home entryway: Positive energy and prosperity are flowing to me now and always.
Lower and Upper Corners: I have no boundaries. I am grounded and stable.
Under beds: I get out of my own way, and nothing holds me down.
Stove burners & oven: My inner light is always burning and bright. I have all I need.
Fans and lighting fixtures: My life and projects are always on time and in flow.
Make this fun and easy, turn up that Aries fire, listen to tunes that inspire you, and get to cleaning and clearing these areas (with love and passion) as you state the intentions above (or create your own).
*Remove all the dust bunnies and cob webs.
*Open the windows, let fresh air in.
*Speak to your home. Tell it what to remove. Tell it what to bring in!
*Toss what no longer feels right or inspiring in your space.
*Sweep, sweep it all away and call in new, sparkly, inspiring energy into your home and life!
*Add some new color if you can (like a new front door mat)!
*Consider wrapping up this cleaning with a new plant indoors, or some bright new spring flowers outside that draw beautiful energy to your front door (opportunities!!)
*Oh, and, if any of your outdoor plants or flowers are not well kept, give them a good pruning too! You’ll thank me once you begin to see and feel the changes. “-)
Give yourself the whole weekend to get this done if need be, but do it. By moving the energy in your home, you’re moving it in your life, just like this New Moon Eclipse is encouraging you to do.

This is one of my favorite High Vibe Clearing Space Tonics. (Can you say “YAY”?) I use this to clear my aura, my car, spaces before meetings, my home, etc. You get the picture! It’s an instant energy Pick-me-Upper!
You may not yet have all you need to create it, but it’s worth the investment.
What you need:
An amber or blue spray bottle.
Distilled water
Small bunch of small quartz crystals (tourmaline is great too)
10 drops of each of these 100% pure essential oils:
Frankincense
Melaleuca (Tea Tree)
Eucalyptus
Lavender
What to do:
Make sure to clean and dry your bottle.
Add a few crystals.
Add (to your liking) up to 10-12 drops of each oil into the bottle.
Top it off with the water (almost to the top- leave room for a little shake!)
Give it a shake, and you’re done.
