There's a current running through everything right now — a solar plexus asking to be heard, felt, and expressed. I can sense it, in particular, because the call for space clearings is more prevalent now.
I sense that many of you are quietly feeling the need and importance to LET GO—let go of the heaviness, the physical weight of clutter, and the quiet voice deep in our souls asking to play, be seen and to lead from the heart.
These impulses are signs of bigger movements that we can sense if we can sit in a place of observance and curiosity. And when in that space, we can explore further and see the bigger energetic patterns that are calling us in.
That’s what I’m writing about today—the big energetic shift we are all living through—beginning today!
The Nodes Have Shifted - A New Cycle Emerges
The Nodes shifted into new signs on July 26th —North Node into Aquarius, and South Node into Leo, beginning a NEW 18-month cycle of BIG inner growth and transformation.
This new cycle runs through March of 2028, so don’t mistakenly believe that these shifts will happen overnight, or just after the eclipses. It’s a slow burn. In fact, it’s often that we don’t feel the inner pushes and pulls, or experience the changes, until about 6 months after the eclipses.
Right now, you may be feeling the inner tickle, or hearing the subtle whisper. If so, tune in to get a sense of what’s ruminating inside of you. Write it down, begin to journal about it. Take it with you over these next 18 months to track your progress.
These last 18 months have been quite personal for me, because I am a sun sign Pisces, and the North Node has been steadily “working on me” in my house of Career and Public Image. I had an idea going into this last Pisces/Virgo cycle of what would transpire, and I did see glimpses of it. Now as we make this big shift (because it is big!) into Aquarius and Leo, I see it much more clearly.
What I’ve realized for myself, especially in this tender decade of my 50’s, is that the Nodal changes and eclipses are really asking me to lead from within and accept the greater mission of being a steward of the Earth and a force of healing, peace and transformation (soooo very Pisces!). It’s no wonder that my calling to deeply study and practice Shamanism transpired during this cycle, and to launch a new Priestess Circle (coming in January!). At the same time, Virgo in my 4th house brought a move to a new home after 5 years, and I have so loved building my new sanctuary in this home. Clearing it, loving it, making it sacred, and working from this space (and making it work for me!)—all sooooo very Virgo!
For my Astro Lovers, you’ll also appreciate that my natal Nodes are in Aquarius and Leo, exactly like this next cycle (with Pluto exact my North Node!), so the learning and transformation continues for me at another deeper level.
Let’s go!
Why this matters
Before moving forward, though, in case you’re unsure about the importance of the North and South Node, and the eclipses, these Nodes are destiny markers for us all. The North Node pushes us toward our highest and best version—our evolutionary direction and purpose—and the South Node asks us to let go and release what no longer supports our evolution—usually hard to let go of patterns that served us at some point, but, perhaps, are now holding us back. It can be places, people, beliefs, and emotions. During the eclipses, the New Moon and Full Moon are in alignment with the Nodes, creating a specific energetic window when these shifts are seeded within us.
Now, with the Nodes moving into Aquarius and Leo we are being CALLED OUT—into our hearts, our self-expression, and into the future. We will feel the pull to continually ask: “Who do I desire to be now? What does my heart want to express and also to cleanse? Who can I no longer be or wait to be? What does the future need of me. What kind of future do I want to create and with who will I create this future? How will I choose to lead? Where are we headed as a collective, and How will we rise together?”
The First Eclipse of the Season
Today, August 12, 2026, is a Total Solar Eclipse in Leo—the first Leo eclipse since 2019, and it’s a New Moon South Node Eclipse, because the moon is co-joined with the South Node.
This is a bit tricky…
Because it’s a South Node Eclipse, we want to pay attention to what needs to be released before we clearly SEED our new intentions. What we release should not be light-hearted—it should be an aspect of ourselves that must be let go so that we can evolve in this new cycle.
With Leo at the helm, we are looking for themes around our self-expression, power, courage, strength, creativity, leadership, drive, ego/visiblity, and passion. Because Leo rules the 5th house in Astrology, the “release” can also involve our relationship with our children and/or a love partner. South Node eclipses tend to close a chapter rather than open one. We want to be open to clearing out the old growth so the new seeds can be planted, watered and grow over the new cycle.
What the Sky is Telling Us that Our Bodies Already Know
Solo-hero leadership is over, and the leader who tries to hold everything alone will feel it first in her space—the cluttered desk, the office that drains instead of supports, the home she can’t fully rest in. This eclipse is a closing and a clearing, not yet an opening. What we clear now—energetically and physically—determines what the next 18 months of Aquarius-led, collective, heart-centered leadership gets to build on.
As high-achieving, busy women leaders, we can tend to rush to change our behavior before changing our environments, and that rarely sticks. WHY? Because our spaces subconsciously and energetically hold and reinforce our old patterns.
This is why space clearing and simple “Shway” fixes can be so very powerful. On a day-to-day basis we can forget that our homes hold us, and are an energetic representation of our lives. And it’s not coincidental that just before changes happen in our external world, something has changed within our homes. It can be subtle—so subtle that we often don’t notice.
Here are a few recent examples:
*One client shared that she was experiencing the lack of cash flow in her business. We discussed what “symptoms” she might be experiencing in her home and she casually mentioned that her toilet was making weird noises, like there may be a leak, but she couldn’t find it. She forgot about it and a few months went by (with no cash flow!), until she received an extremely large water bill from the county. This shock (and bill!) forced her to really look at the issue. There was, indeed, a leak, and it was fixed. That same week she secured some new clients, and the last few months have been the most in flow for her all year.
*Another client mentioned that she was feeling fuzzy and unfocused. She has moments of creative sparks (when she’s outdoors on her walks), and she’ll begin to take action, but then she loses momentum and can’t focus again, with too many open loops. In our conversations and during her home walkthrough, I noticed that she always kept her shades drawn, and her work desk was overwhelmed with stacks and lists. My recommendation to her was simple, bring the light in! Open the shades, especially in her office. It’s clear that the sunshine and the light help give her momentum. Also, I asked her clear her desk at the end of the day—every day, so she can wake up to a clear desk (= clear mind). After a week of making these small shifts in her home, something massive shifted in her and she’s been closing all of those open loops!
To drive home this idea, take a look at this picture. What do you see and how does it make you feel?
It reminds me of how we fill our homes and our lives and ideas and stuff—layers upon layers—without removing what no longer fits or is unwelcome.
I can paint over this old pipe, but if I don’t clear what’s there—that old rust and paint—the old will still influence what NEW wants to come forward.
This is what space clearing can do for us—create a clean energetic palette for our new art and our desired transformations and growth.
A Simple Ritual for Clearing - Readying for this New Cycle
The practices of energy clearing and Feng Shui are vast, but even a few simple, intentional observations and actions can set you off in a powerful way this eclipse week. Here’s a 10-step process you can do within 1 hour our less today or in the next few days.
Create a sacred space for yourself—brew a cup of tea, play some slow, deepening music, light a candle and clear your personal energetic space with Sage or Palo Santo.
Warm your insides with your tea. Feel the warmth of the mug in your hands. Allow the steam to brush over your face. Feel it.
Place your hands on your heart and imagine breathing deeply in and out through your heart. Do this for a few rounds until your feel calm, rooted, and heart-centered.
Ask your heart, “What within me is ready to release? And if I release that, what will expand within and outside of me?” Trust your heart. Trust your intuition.
With your heart intelligence active, and with your answers, slowly walk throughout your home with your heart eyes open. Feel more than you see. Pay attention to what doesn’t feel like it’s holding you. What feels old and outdated—no longer a part of you and your future? What needs to be cleared, cleaned or organized?
Pick ONE THING.
Clear it. Clean it. Release it. Gift it.
Do it intentionally and with joy and readiness in your heart.
Go back to your tea and candle. Tune in again. Connect with your heart again.
From that place, write your New Moon in Aquarius Intention, go outside and say it out loud under the dark moon. Continue to repeat your intention out loud daily for 27 days.
*BONUS—Because Aquarius is an Air sign, and because this is a New cycle of what wants to come into your life, once you clear and create your intention, place wind chimes outside your front door to welcome in this new cycle of your evolution.
This is the work now: not forcing the new into being, but clearing enough space that it has somewhere to land. The rust under the paint, the leak behind the wall, the shades kept drawn — none of it was punishment. It was old growth, waiting for someone to notice it and say, gently, thank you, and now I release you.
Your solar plexus isn’t asking you to do more. It’s asking you to be seen — fully, heart-led, unhidden — in whatever you build next. That’s the whole invitation of this eclipse, and the whole promise of the 18 months ahead: not solo-hero striving, but a fiercer, softer kind of leadership with room in it for rest, for community, for the sacred ordinary of a home that actually holds you.
So light the candle. Clear the one thing. Say your intention under the dark moon. And trust that the seeds you plant this week are already, quietly, growing toward the woman you’re becoming.
If you’re sensing there’s more here than you can see on your own — you’re probably right. Two invitations, if you’re called to go deeper:
A Personal Nodal Reading. Your natal chart has its own Aquarius and Leo houses — its own story of what’s being released and what’s being called forward over these next 18 months. In a 1:1 reading, we’ll map exactly where this cycle is landing in your chart, and what it’s asking of you personally.
A Space Clearing / Feng Shui Session. For the leader ready to stop rearranging her behavior and start clearing her environment. We’ll walk your home or office together — in person or virtually — find where the old growth is still living in your walls, drawers, and doorways, and set your space up to hold the leader you’re becoming, not the one you’re outgrowing.
Want both woven together? A Nodal Reset Session combines your chart and your space into one clearing — what’s shifting in you, and how to make your home reflect it.
Simply comment below “I’m In” or message me directly, and we’ll get you scheduled.
With fierce love and sacred trust in what’s unfolding,
Monique
